I- I think so. Remember that time when they couldn't sleep and everything was weird a-and they told us about the draft?

That was the spirit thing!?

It sounds like it. Because on the draft, that bomb... it- it sacrificed them. And we found out in the past that the Third Party worships this spirit that seems to live in the center of the earth. It's responsible for bringing us here... and it was responsible for the war too. All our problems go back to that thing.

The Mallies aren't the ones to have brought us here?! I always had pinned this on them. Man, now I feel like I have to go write an apology letter to them or something.

I guess that's what's wrong with this place. We need to put the liquid rock back in the centre of the planet, and that'll kill the spirit thing in the centre!

None of us ever told you that? [He frets.] Sorry Sokka, the Malnosso are - or were - people who're stuck here just like us.

I'm not sure if liquid rocks are the answer... but I'm sure we'll find out?

Well, not exactly. That detail seemed to have gotten omitted somewhere. [Either that, or Sokka was just falling asleep or incredibly bored when that history lesson came to pass.]

Well, I guess so... though... do we really need to solve that? It's not like there's anyone here in this world listening to the crazy spirit thing any longer?

And I think it still is really important. We never know if someone else could end up getting possessed like the General was. And dealing with that spirit could be the key to finding a way back home for good!

Well, once the Mallies figure out how to make a huge mecha-drill that's powerful enough to dig into the centre of the planet, I suppose we can get a plan going?
