[It's the kind of place he's used to. If anything, Belle might be somewhat better off. He does note what sights he can pick up on and he finds a seat, gently kicking his legs slightly and impatiently as if still a child.]

[He does act like a kid.

Chips, juice, on a plate. Raven's not one for fuss or show. She gets herself a glass of water.]

Why do you think your mom's here?

Because she has to be somewhere out there. And checking everywhere nearby first sounds like the right way to go! With all the people living around here... one of 'em's gotta be her! [He takes the plate with a grateful smile.] Thank you very much!

How long ago did she leave?

[He was pretty old to be a recent orphan and not know his mother's face.]

It was... more'n ten years ago. Maybe eleven. I was too little to remember. But I think... my sister remembers a little. I just don't wanna trouble her. The area can be dangerous, after all.

That's a long time. If she stuck around, I think you'd know by now.

[It's not that Raven lacks compassion. She just believes in being up front about difficult things.]

I- I don't know. It's... a really big city... [He says weakly.]

[He isn't ready to let her go. Maybe it's different for people who can hang onto the chance that their missing parent is alive somewhere. Raven sighs and runs a finger through the condensation on her glass of water.]

Then good luck, I guess, hm?

Th-thanks. [He says before he quietly nibbles down a chip. And he gives her a weak smile.]

So, what do you do for fun?

[He hasn't found his mom yet through his method. But when he's lucky, he finds friends.]

I work. [There isn't much fun about it.] At the garage on fifth street.

[For fun, when she has time for fun, she uses the scrap and bits of whatever leftover from repairs to build things. Sort of sculptures. No one but Leon really knows about them.]

Oh! That's neat. I thought work was usually the opposite of fun. But if you're enjoying it, it must be good! [He says with a satisfied nod.] Do you make cars?
