[It seemed like a normal day for the 14-year old Avatar until airbending training came to an end with no sign of Korra. There were any number of reasons for her absence - she didn't exactly have a reputation for punctuality - but he couldn't help but worry. He started towards the other Avatar House to check, only to find Bolin, now the sole resident of the house. And there was only one conclusion: Korra, his reincarnation, had gone back home, to whatever world it was he and his friends would help to shape in the future.

He addressed the journals with a light smile, and he tried not to sound solemn.]

Hi, everyone. It's me, Aang. I just wanted to let you all know that Korra's gone back home. From what I know... she's going to be fine and become a great Avatar. And she's gonna save a lot of people, including my family. But aside from all that, while she was here, she was... funny and tough and nice and a great friend. [A little tougher than he expected. But she was also a living not-so-welcome reminder of his own mortality, due to being his next life. He still regretted not getting the chance to talk over some issues with her.]

I feel grateful to her, and I hope you all remember her, too.

[Action]

[Aang will spend time at the item shop and the clothing shop getting some manner of materials for this "Halloween" thing that Ikki keeps talking about. Feel free to run into him; he'll be collecting large quantities of red and blue materials piecemeal to make a costume for Appa that looks like the "Superman" person that Katie told him about. He'll also be trying to put together a Robin costume for himself.]

Yeah, it can attract dogs, too! If I blow hard enough, it can whistle for all kinds of animals! [But yes, it is pitched above the human ear.]

What if you blow too hard and explode something's eardrum? Are you sure that's safe?

I- I don't know, I wouldn't blow it that hard next to people! I'm real careful with it, I promise.

Accidents happen, Aang. [ Said very seriously. She's totally messing with him, but... ]

[But it's very easy to work on him.]

But it's safe I swear!

[And there's a dull roar from outside.]

--Is he here right now? [ SHE THOUGHT HE WAS OUT AT AANG'S HOUSE OR SOMETHING. she wants to see appa!! ]

Yeah, I think he just got here. Come on outside and I'll show you!

[ N-NOT LIKE SHE WANTS TO MEET HIM OR ANYTHING. HMPH. ]

[He just laughs at her, grabs the fabrics he was looking at and takes her outside. Sure enough, that sky bison is waiting right there.]

There he is. Hey Appa, here's another friend for you to meet!

[ Oh my god it's big and fuzzy. Yuri smiles. It's not like she had an issue talking to a dragon, so she's not going to be at all intimidated by a pretty adorable giant fuzzy thing. ]

I'm Yurippe, Appa. Hi.

[Appa responds with a growl as he draws closer and starts to sniff her out.]

I think he's pleased to meet you.

[ Yuri stands still, but in a relaxed position, as he approaches her and holds out her hand, palm facing down to show she's not in an offensive position. ]

You too, Appa.

[He probes the hand with a nose and, fairly satisfied with her, will then try to lick it.]

[ First thought: I'm going to need a shower after this.

Honestly, that is a big tongue. She's going to reach up and try to pat him on the nose now. ]

Is he big on the licking, Aang?

Pretty much, Yuri! Mostly when he makes a new friend and sometimes when he's feeling happy. [So it's only a matter of time until all of Luceti has a coat of sky bison saliva. Appa lowers his head a little and lets Yuri do what she will with his nose, while Aang grins between them.]

I'll wear a raincoat on his birthday, then. [ THIS IS KINDA GROSS TO HER TBH. But Appa seems nice enough so she'll deal. She tries to reach up to scratch the ridge just above his nose since that feels good on doggies right??? ]

[Yeah, it feels good. Appa's easy to please petting/scratching wise and rests his legs while she scratches away.]

Do you need a saliva removal?

[tenminutes]

Depends. Is he going to lick me again? [ Might as well just do it all at once.. ]

I think he's done for now. But I can bend any of the water he left on you right off.

Yes please. No offense, Appa, but you're slimy.

Just his tongue!

[And with some quick movements, all the moisture is pulled off of Yuri, to be tossed to the side.]

He's like a giant dog, almost. [ Yuri's going to go to Appa's side now, hopefully out of tonguing distance and pet his fur. ] I agree though, he's definitely mostly fuzzy! When did you two meet?

action;

[Aang will join her and seize some fur himself.] He definitely is! We meet years ago... back when I was just six, and he was still a baby!

action;

[tenminutes]

How old are you now, anyway?

action;

I'm 14! Not counting the hundred years I was frozen.
