[Aang has just finished a morning tea after airbending with Ikki and stepped out to find... well, Toph freaking Beifong waiting for him. A sheepish wave is in order.]

Oh - morning, Toph!

[Why did he sense incoming pain.]

Goooood morning, Twinkletoes! [More timely knuckle-cracking.] You ready for a metalbending lesson?

[He grins sheepishly.]

Would it make any difference if I said anything other than "yes, right now"?

[Well, to be fair...]

Nope, probably not. So come on!

[Aang's in no mood to object. After all, training at least helps him to keep his mind swirling, from settling on depressing topics.]

Alright. Lead the way, then!

Out back. Better be dressed warm!

[Gotta practice metalbending in the cold, too.]

Right. [He quickly grabs a puffy jacket and one of the hats he got for Christmas. He hasn't had much problem with the cold before due to cartoon logic but better to be safe than sorry. Plus, it's comfy. And then he heads out back, ready for another practice session.]

[Out back, Toph's got some trusty metal slabs set up against a couple of tree trunks. They're the heaviest metal they've practiced with yet, but Toph thinks Aang is up for the challenge.]

Ta da! New metal!

[He looks over the metal, with a mix of impressed and intimidated.]

Oh, wow! I'm ready for new oens? This should be fun. [And challenging. But... that goes without saying.]

You betcha! I figured it was time to throw you a new one. This stuff is heavier than what you're used to, so it's gonna require a lot more concentration than before. It's not gonna be easy, but let's see what you can do with it just off instinct.
