[The announcement has left him with a lot to think about. And he ends up appearing on the journals. He's gotten quite tall over his years in Luceti, and he's been sporting a beard of sorts for the past few months.]

Hey everyone. It's me, Aang. With all that talk going around about the announcement... I thought I'd give everyone somewhere to talk about the good things, too. The things we'll miss about this place. Even if it's full of bad things, everyone has to have something about here that we like. Even aside from all of the friends and family we've made here!

So let's all say at least one favorite thing from here in Luceti. It could be your favorite place to spend time, your favorite food or activity that you discovered here in this world, or... even just a shift that wasn't as bad as it could have been?

No matter who ends up staying or going... or who's right or wrong... one thing I know is that change is coming. So let's think about what memories to take comfort in, for when that time comes.

All the friends I made. Like, I can make friends no matter where I go, but people like Bulla and Ami and Rock and Masaomi and Jeb and Utena, they're...well, different. The good different. It's like, the first time I got to know people as people and have bonds that aren't just 'oh we like the same stuff', cause some of them didn't like the same stuff as me but when they did it wasn't just about that. I mean...it felt real.

Am I making sense?

You are! There's nothing better than bonds between people, and I know that some of the people you're talking about are really great!

It... helps when things feel real, right? It helps things be more- grounded?

Oh, good. I'm not a writer like Daria so I'm not as good at wording things sometimes.

Yeah...like there's real trust there. Like, they really know you and all.

You don't have to be a writer. The important part's speaking from your heart!

Like they really know... Yeah, that sounds right. That's how friends really help you!

Really? My English teacher never said anything like that. Well, he did, but he also likes it when people use big words and stuff.

Yeah! It's not just about liking all the same stuff!

I liked going to school with all the other kids.

[He'd never done anything like that. Maybe he'll ask Goh when he goes home]

Hey... Hajime, that's something that I love too! [He says excitedly, as if it's a remarkable coincidence.] It's something I didn't really get to experience that much at home. Sure, I loved learning from the monks, but it wasn't the same.

I only went to a school-school for a little bit at home, and I really liked the way it felt to go there. [Aside from all of the horrible Fire Nation propaganda.] So I'm really glad I got to spend so much time going to a school here in Luceti.

Kei gives me and Shin and Mannen lessons at home, but it's not the same as going somewhere where there's all sorts of kids getting the same lessons.

Heh, that sounds pretty similar to me! You meet all sorts of kids and can make all kinds of neat friends in a school! It's a good way to get to know lots of different people.

[ Aang. Of course... it's Aang. Aang would he the one to will out that sort of sentimental thing. And while now, especially now, it's easy to look back on the period he's reflecting on now as being painful (and oh god, it was)... he can't look at it with regret. If he did, that would be insulting to everyone involved. So while there are happier memories for him, many of them, he settles on an awkward state as he throws out: ]

Well, in my case, I fell in love with one of the most amazing women I've ever known.

[ Is that person his favorite person? Is that his favorite memory? God, he doesn't know ]

[That's Masaomi alright. Aang's not sure where this will go - he never is - but he might as well let him speak his mind.]

A-and that's a good thing, in the end... right?

Probably...? I mean, I do have some pleasant memories lingering up in my head here.

[ He hums a little, becoming thoughtful ]

I, for one, appreciate the fact that no stupid Fire Nation jerks have come here to give me a bad time.

I guess that's one thing to be grateful for! It's been a nice vacation from being chased around.

But I'm not going to lie. I guess there are people here from other places that aren't all that terrible too.

[There, he said it. Or something like it.]

There's nothing wrong with being truthful about that. We... we all have people like that here, Sokka. [Even if there's many that he doesn't truly remember.]

[Of all the things he's had to say during these moments of introspection that everyone has had lately, this is probably the one that offers the least amount of hesitation for him to talk about.]

Well...I'd have to say that my favorite thing about Luceti would be the people and Pokemon I got to meet here. It was a new and exciting taste, getting to know so many different people and all of the fantastical places they came from! Plus, before arriving in Luceti, I never would have imagined that there could be places that didn't have Pokemon, or worlds with other types of creatures instead, so it made for some interesting encounters!

[Feelings about Luceti aside, he can't say that he didn't have a sense of awe and amazement about it and all of the people living here.]

I appreciate the fascinating individuals I have met, and enjoying tea and pai sho with them.

I appreciate the family I ended up growing here.

Went from nothing to everything in a pretty short time in my life.

[Emil is silent for a moment, just letting the weight of Aang's words sink in. Although a part of him has been trying to deny it, their impending return home has been a constant presence in the back of his mind, and to be honest, it's more than a little frightening. To him, Luceti IS his home-- he's spent more time here than he spent existing back in his own world, and the idea of leaving it and all of the people he's met here hurts him in a way he's never really experienced before.

He's made friends, he's learned, he's changed, and he's grown, all because of this place.]

... I don't think I can pick just one thing, unless that thing is Luceti itself.
