[Action]

[The day is off to a normal start for Aang, starting with airbending practice. He also spends some of the morning using airbending to play around with the leaves on the front lawn of House 56.

After school, he then spends some time cooking at the bakery. He puts together a mix of cookies, cupcakes and some fruit pies of different flavors, and anyone can pop in while he's working on that. He leaves some at the bakery and takes the rest to the Welcome Center, where he sets them up as treats for visiting New Feathers. He spends some time lingering there to do what Welcome Center-ing work there is to be done. And before heading home for dinner, he takes Appa out for a ride flying in the air over Luceti.]

[While Aang's at the Welcome Center, he sets up a video. The treats he prepared are visible on a table in the background. Those who met him during the last experiment can probably pick up over the video that he now looks 15-ish rather than 12, although it's easier to tell the difference in person.]

Hello. How is everyone? It's Aang here, and I've got a few things I wanted to say. First of all, isn't it great that it's autumn now? That's like the best time of the year! Does anyone know any fun things you like to do in autumn? I'd like to try out all kinds of new things.

I... also wanted to say something about the way I was a few weeks ago. When I was littler again. I lied and told some of you I wasn't the Avatar, but I really am. I'm sorry about that. [He pauses for a moment.] Other than that... I left some treats out in the Welcome Center to help greet any New Feathers! If you have any questions about this place, one of us there will do our best to help you. I know lots of things can be confusing and unfamiliar in this place. Come to think of it... Is it just me, or is this New Feather cycle going on longer than usual?

Oh, really? That sounds close enough to a prince to me! Does that mean you fell in love?

"Yeah..."

[OH yeah. Hard.]

"She's incredible. You'd like her."

[Not that he's sure how anybody couldn't like her.]

"I wouldn't want her to come here, though. She'd hate being trapped like this."

Yeah, I understand. We did talk about that, right? How this place is like a trap. But I bet she's great anyway. And I'm happy for you two!

"Oh, I got the whole story from Belle and Beast. They found me when I woke up."

[He sounds a bit mad now.]

"Man, if they tried to keep Jasmine locked up like this, they'd have another thing coming."

[He visibly relaxes as he considers Jasmine's wrath toward her would-be captors. That thought seems to placate him somewhat.]

"So what about you, Aang? Are Avatars allowed to fall in love?"

[Oh so he knows Belle and Beast, maybe he should mention that- wait did he just ask him about love.

Aang reddens a bit.]

Um, well, I mean, they kind of can! It's not recommended a lot, because of attachments and stuff! But... it's still possible. [He smiles wryly.] It's like an old friend told me once. 'When love is real, it finds a way... And being the Avatar doesn't hurt your chances with the ladies either.' [He chuckles at that.]

"I bet it doesn't."

[He has a chuckle of his own for that one.]

"Well, good. I couldn't imagine not being allowed to fall in love."

Y-yeah... me neither! [Well, he kind of did imagine that when he was told to let go of his earthly attachments to achieve enlightenment. And he kind of did, but luckily things worked out.] Without feeling love... I don't think that I would have made it that far and accomplished everything I did back home. It inspired me.

"I wish more people saw it that way, Aang."

[He laughs again.]

"Not that I really think it would help with some of the guys I've faced. Who would want to fall in love with a guy like Jafar?"

[A moment later, he seems to realize this is missing context.]

"Uh, sorry. Jafar is... not a pleasant guy. And he tried to kill me a couple times."

Oh... yeah. I guess that's someone you wouldn't want to fall in love with. Like the fire lord!

"The Fire Lord? Is there a 'Lord' for every element?"

Nope! Just for that nation. Most of the other nations have different ruling. The Water Tribes have chiefs, and the Earth Kingdom has the Earth King. And my people, the air nomads, we had a council.

"Ohhh, so each element has a different kingdom. Or, uh, nation. This sounds pretty complicated. How do you even remember it all?"

[You'll have to excuse him, it's just that politics and nations go a little over his head still.]

Because... there's only four of them? It sounds like lots of worlds have a lot more kinds of nations and of elements, so I'm more confused by them.

"I guess we don't get as much variety where I'm from. Most of the countries I've been to just had a sultan or king or queen or something."

[Not that he's been to all that many, honestly. He's really new at this.]

Those kinds of rulers... They can be pretty neat, if they're nice!

"Well, the Sultan of Agrabah can be a little scatterbrained, but he's a good person. Not all the rulers I've met have been that nice."

[The sultan almost reminds him of the Earth King in a way - except his opinion of Kuei is sunk a bit by his more recent actions.]

I see. They didn't try to start any wars or anything, did they?
