[The 14-year old monk looks into the video feed with a friendly smile during a break in the rainfall. He's standing on the lawn of House 57, and Appa is chewing down on some hay in the background.]

Hey, everyone! It's me, Aang. It's been a while since I really tried talking to everyone through the book, so I thought I'd give it another try. After all, I really like to make more friends, and it seems like something I should do more anyway now that I work at the Welcome Center! And... in case you only know me from during shifts or something, you should know that I'm not a crimefighter, a little kid or an old man, and right now I'm kinda sick of tea. I'm something that's called an Airbender and the Avatar.

I also want to introduce you to this guy, Appa. He's my sky bison. Say hello, Appa! [Aang moves to the side briefly while Appa gives a lazy bellow.] Isn't he great? So... this is what I have in mind. I wanna take Appa out more and do what I can to explore this place when I have time. And if any of you want, whether I already know you or not, you're free to join me and help me find places to explore. I think I'll do these kinds of adventures throughout the whole week, especially if the weather clears up, so if you wanna come, let me know when!

[There's some chittering noises as a lemur pops out of Aang's sleeve.] You can come too, Momo!

[Action]

[So throughout the week, Aang rides Appa around the enclosure in search of secrets, adventures and such. Before he sets off, Aang stops by the fountain in the plaza with Appa to wait for any traveling companion. He also could be found running random errands at the Welcome Center.

Also, Appa may be familiar to some because of his fur. Appa arrived back in May, and especially in the time following that, he would have been shedding some fur with the coming of summer. So characters are free to have recognize that fur having been dropped throughout Luceti during his flights.]

[Aang slides down from Appa to greet Steve - who also looks bigger than he imagined, even with Aang having grown in the year since the war ended.]

Everything looks smaller when it's in a book. It's nice to meet you in person, Steve. And here's Appa. Appa, this is Steve Rogers. He got frozen just like us!

Yeah, it's nice to officially meet you to Aang. [Pause.] And Appa.

So, where are we off to first?

Hm... we could check out the mountains!

[While Appa steps closer to Steve. Not content with a simple spoken hello, the bison sniffs at Steve before giving him a lick.]

That sounds like a good idea...[His spine straightens when Appa steps closer to him, but to Steve's credit, he doesn't budge from his spot. What Appa does though catches him completely off guard.]

Ohhkay, hello to you to. [He looks at Aang.] Is this how he greets everyone?

That's mostly how he greets new friends. Welcome to the club!

Thanks. I didn't know there was a club to be a part of. [And he sometimes mistakes sayings for their literal meanings.]

So, how exactly do we get up there? [He looks up towards Appa's back.]

It's a very open membership, as long as you're nice.

And... you just climb your way up. Just don't be too rough and Appa will be okay. I can help you up if you want.

Sounds like a good guideline to have.

[He looks between Aang, to Appa and back again. Climbing, that's something he can do. He just doesn't have much experience climbing...animals. Living creatures.]

Unless you have a ladder packed up there somewhere, I don't see how you can help me. [Yes, he remembers what Aang said about his Airbending. But he didn't say anything about it working on others.]

Well I can give you a lift with some Earthbending.

You can do that? I just sort of assumed it would only work on you.

Yeah! It can only be done by me or another Earthbender, but I can move the earth beneath anyone!

[And to prove it, he'll shift the earth beneath Steve slightly upwards.]

[He startles only slightly as a reflex and looks down at the ground as it slowly moves upwards.]

That's handy. I guess this is much easier than getting a ladder.

It really is! Now... going up!

[Since Steve seems cool with it, Aang begins rising the ground higher, but at a comfortable pace, up to a height from which Steve can just leap onto Appa's back.]

[He adjusts to it pretty fast and soon enough the ground stops moving, leaving him only a small hop away from Appa's back. He jumps and lands square on the air bison's back.]

Well, that was interesting.

I bet it was! Now just take a seat in the saddle and I'll have us in the air in no time!

[Aang hops up onto Appa's head with a graceful, Airbending-assisted leap.]

[Steve settles into the saddle, leaving Aang plenty of room to jump on.]

So, is this how you usually get around in your world? On the back of air bison?

[He looks back as he grabs onto the reins attached to Appa's horns.]

Not for everyone - just for my people, the air nomads. They're our companions for life. Hang on... yip yip!

[At Aang's command, the bison begins to ascend into the sky.]

[Steve grabs hold of the saddle and can't help but look down at the ground below. Good thing he doesn't have a particular fear of heights.]

Companion for live huh? You two must have a good relationship.

We do! He's been there for me since we first met back when I was six, and we still stick together. There's only been a few times we were separated.

[Well when he put it like that, their relationship kind of reminded him of his and Bucky's friendship. Practically since the day they'd met, they'd been together...until the war.]

Well, you're both lucky to have each other here.

[Bucky's just not a very handy transport.]

Thanks. He didn't show up for a few months when I came here, so I know how lucky I am he eventually did appear.
