[The 14-year old monk looks into the video feed with a friendly smile during a break in the rainfall. He's standing on the lawn of House 57, and Appa is chewing down on some hay in the background.]

Hey, everyone! It's me, Aang. It's been a while since I really tried talking to everyone through the book, so I thought I'd give it another try. After all, I really like to make more friends, and it seems like something I should do more anyway now that I work at the Welcome Center! And... in case you only know me from during shifts or something, you should know that I'm not a crimefighter, a little kid or an old man, and right now I'm kinda sick of tea. I'm something that's called an Airbender and the Avatar.

I also want to introduce you to this guy, Appa. He's my sky bison. Say hello, Appa! [Aang moves to the side briefly while Appa gives a lazy bellow.] Isn't he great? So... this is what I have in mind. I wanna take Appa out more and do what I can to explore this place when I have time. And if any of you want, whether I already know you or not, you're free to join me and help me find places to explore. I think I'll do these kinds of adventures throughout the whole week, especially if the weather clears up, so if you wanna come, let me know when!

[There's some chittering noises as a lemur pops out of Aang's sleeve.] You can come too, Momo!

[Action]

[So throughout the week, Aang rides Appa around the enclosure in search of secrets, adventures and such. Before he sets off, Aang stops by the fountain in the plaza with Appa to wait for any traveling companion. He also could be found running random errands at the Welcome Center.

Also, Appa may be familiar to some because of his fur. Appa arrived back in May, and especially in the time following that, he would have been shedding some fur with the coming of summer. So characters are free to have recognize that fur having been dropped throughout Luceti during his flights.]

Oh, yes, I do. He seems really gentle.

He is! The sky bisons have been the companions of my people, the air nomads, pretty much forever! And we all practice peaceful ways.

Ah, that's wonderful to hear-!

[A cheerful, bright smile. She knows that Aang is a peaceful being so she's happy that he has a pet who's also like that.]

I have a good friend who belongs to a clan that has been companions with trained ninja dogs as well. [You can just guess who this is.]

Ninja dogs? Wow, there's really ninja everything in your world, huh?

[Oh, Aang.]

Oh, um, well... not everything, I suppose.

I'll believe that when I hear something there isn't a ninja version of! All these ninja things still are real interesting.

Inasmuch as your world seems very interesting too, Aang-kun.

You think so? Thanks, Hinata! I guess it is really neat, with bending and everything.

Mm. [A nod.] And the people are interesting as well.

Oh, of course! Katara and Sokka and Toph and everyone are all real interesting too. Plus Appa himself!

Oh, and Momo-kun too, if I'm not mistaken?

[Momo clambers up onto the journal and presses his face against the feed while chattering. Aang is still heard laughing.]

Yeah, Momo, you're real amazing too!

[Hinata can be heard giggling too. Oh, why so cute, Momo?]

I suppose that is his way of agreeing.

It is! Momo always knows how to make his voice heard.

[He pets the lemur between the ears to distract him from the video feed.]

How long have you known him, if you don't mind my asking?

[Because asking how long have you "owned" him seems wrong.]

Momo or Appa? Momo I've known for about two years. I met him not long after I met Katara and Sokka! But Appa, I've known for most of my life, ever since I was just six.

[She's actually referring to Momo, but she's thankful he clarified both.]

Ah, that's nice. Was Appa-kun that big even before?

[Either way, he always loves a chance to recall meeting both animals... although Momo's did happen on one of the hardest days of his life.]

Not always, all big things gotta start out little! But he was still big enough to knock me over when we first met.

[Ahhh yes 8(]

T- Then, I suppose that is one meeting you will never forget. [And because Hinata is just too fascinated by this-] How did you two meet exactly, though?

It was part of a ritual that my people did where we get our sky bisons. And sky bisons are our friends for life. [Maybe even more.] We all had to step forward and present an apple to a sky bison. I went to Appa and gave it to him, and then he started licking me. That's when I knew we were always gonna be together.

That sounds like a wonderful ritual-!

[It's almost like how the Inuzuka clan is partnered with a dog for life, too.]

I- It almost seems like you two are destined for each other. [You know, without the romanticism.]

It really is. [He hopes his son and grandkids get to do something similar.] And I guess were, in a way. We're meant for each other, right buddy?

[He rubs Appa's nose, and th bison responds by licking him.]

[S- So cute. ;w; Hinata will just watch this friendship with a fond smile.]

I think that kind of relationship is very admirable.

[Aang giggles as he wipes at the spit. He never waterbends it off, however, because he's used to it.]

Thanks, Hinata. It's the best bond an air nomad can have. Maybe you should try to get a pet, too.

Ah- Well... [It seems like a pretty good idea, but.] I- I don't know what I should get, though.
