[The 14-year old monk looks into the video feed with a friendly smile during a break in the rainfall. He's standing on the lawn of House 57, and Appa is chewing down on some hay in the background.]

Hey, everyone! It's me, Aang. It's been a while since I really tried talking to everyone through the book, so I thought I'd give it another try. After all, I really like to make more friends, and it seems like something I should do more anyway now that I work at the Welcome Center! And... in case you only know me from during shifts or something, you should know that I'm not a crimefighter, a little kid or an old man, and right now I'm kinda sick of tea. I'm something that's called an Airbender and the Avatar.

I also want to introduce you to this guy, Appa. He's my sky bison. Say hello, Appa! [Aang moves to the side briefly while Appa gives a lazy bellow.] Isn't he great? So... this is what I have in mind. I wanna take Appa out more and do what I can to explore this place when I have time. And if any of you want, whether I already know you or not, you're free to join me and help me find places to explore. I think I'll do these kinds of adventures throughout the whole week, especially if the weather clears up, so if you wanna come, let me know when!

[There's some chittering noises as a lemur pops out of Aang's sleeve.] You can come too, Momo!

[So throughout the week, Aang rides Appa around the enclosure in search of secrets, adventures and such. Before he sets off, Aang stops by the fountain in the plaza with Appa to wait for any traveling companion. He also could be found running random errands at the Welcome Center.

Also, Appa may be familiar to some because of his fur. Appa arrived back in May, and especially in the time following that, he would have been shedding some fur with the coming of summer. So characters are free to have recognize that fur having been dropped throughout Luceti during his flights.]

[Rydia smiles and lifts an apple, for him to snag it from her.]

How are you two? Besides hungry....

A sky bison? I've never heard of one of those before. [Steve is blatantly staring at Appa like he's a mythical creature about to perform an amazing feat. Although from his perspective, that's not far from the truth.]

You haven't? I don't think I've heard of any other worlds that have them, yet. [It's a little sad, really.]

Yep! He's too big for just one!

[The apple is quickly gobbled up.]

We're pretty fine! Just taking a break bettween rides.

My world has regular bison. But no sky bison. And...none as big as him.

So what are... "regular bison" like?

[That done, Rydia reaches up to pat Appa.]

That's a good idea. You don't want to wear yourselves out. Would you like something, too, Aang? Well, more than apples.

[Because those are going to disappear pretty quickly, she's sure.]

[An adventure with Grandpa Aang? There's no way Jinora's going to miss out on this. So on one of his stops, she'll be racing out to meet him.]

Granpa Aang!

Um... You could come explore the ocean with me... If you want...

Wouldn't be the first time. [It's a little dry. He doesn't really regret that time working in the tea house. Sometimes.]

But for something this big to fly, he's got to have some powers akin to one. Still! Battling's in the genetics of a pokemon, if he's a more amicable sort, I'm not going to press that. [As he says this though he's glancing at the mouse on his shoulder. Who is pouting]

Yeah! Appa's really cool.

[There's a pause while Ginji tilts his head at the large animal. As if by doing this he can figure out how it works.] But what is he 'zactly?

[Aang uses the whispery dramatic voice that is often employed when describing something awesome to a child.]

He's... a sky bison!

Heh... I guess this kind of weird stuff gets more and more regular the longer you're here. [He's not sure if that's good or bad.]

[Aang looks on warmly with a small murmur of gratitude.]

I guess I could go for something light like chips.

He just knows some Airbending, but he mostly uses it just to get around. He's not a fighter.

[He observes Linda's pout, while Appa just looks on curiously on this whole scene.] Sorry, Linda. Appa's a different kind of playmate.

[Aang had been splashing some water from the fountain in his face to refresh himself when he heard the voice. His face brightening, he turned and opened his arms in preparation for a hug.]

Jinora!

That's Appa, I'm guessing? Don't think I've ever seen a kijyuu anything like that before... what is he?

The ocean? That's an amazing idea, Shirahoshi! You did make it sound really awesome last time we met. We can head over there to meet you next!

Yep! And... I don't know what a kijuu is, but he's a sky bison! They're a special type of animal that have been companions for my people for a long time.

Sky... bison? Huh.

[Seems a descriptive enough term. Rokuta considers for a minute, then shrugs.]

You going somewhere in particular, or did you want to land? It'd be easier to talk on the ground.

Nowhere in particular, just looking for adventure! I'm good to land. [He places his hand above his eyes and scans below for a good landing ground.]

[And one of these days, when Aang comes out to take out Appa, Katara's already there.

Amazing, I know.

She'll just be taking an extremely large comb to the beast.]

[Oh, good. Rokuta does the same, then points out a likely-looking spot not too far distant from where they are now.]

That looks good, there.

[Hopefully it's good with Aang, too, because Rikaku banks and begins to descend to the indicated place without waiting for a response.]
