[It's odd for Aang, waking up in House 56. What is this, some sort of bunked bed? He can't remember whatever led him to sleep there. Doesn't this violate his decision to maintain some distance from his younger friends? He slips out of the house early in the morning, or tries to. It's possible that anyone else in the household could have caught him before he was able to leave.

Aang spends the rest of the day and the next two days going back to his daily routine. He meditates in the forest near Avatar House. He goes through town, either casually strolling or zipping through on his Air Scooter, to stay social. On Day 5, he also has to set up his tent near his meditation spot again. Where could his old tent have gone?]

[ooc: Aang is aged up (kinda)-canonically to around his 40s. He also remembers Luceti in an alternate way where he was brought here at this age. The shift has also caused some memory fluctuations (who's that Yakone fellow again?), although the possibility always remains that he's actually from a somewhat alternate version of canon (aka my handwave if my few assumptions get jossed)

[He thought she had gotten used to the shock a while back. But he did have to account for the stresses of this place. He smiles and pats her head.]

That's me. Aang. The Avatar. Still just a few decades ahead of you all.

[Okay, no one patronizes her. Not even Aang. Especially not Aang. She ducks her head away and stares up at him.]

So what you're telling me is that you think you've been like this the entire time you've been here.

[Poor Aang has had years now of just how terrifying Katara can be... and she probably didn't grow that much taller.]

(This is a thundercloud of irritation appearing over Katara's head in a nice little thought bubble.)

[He looks uneasily from the thundercloud to Katara.]

I'm sorry. This was a mistake. I... I didn't mean to overwhelm you.

(The thunder cloud takes on a mild blue tint.)

[He's slightly relieved at the relative calmness in her demeanor and giant stormcloud.]

I see. It must be experiment week.

[Well, the storm cloud is not going away. It's been a rough week, and she's had very little sleep due to teleportation, and a sleep-deprived Katara is a cranky Katara.]

I'm guessing you don't remember being turned into a six-year-old. Or being turned into me?

[He closes his eyes and tries to focus despite the immediate awkwardness of the second idea.]

I cannot remember anything else that happened this week before waking up this morning. I've gone through both of those... just this week?

[He nods understandingly.]

It must have been. [With some concern.] But have they done anything to you? Aside from... [More light-heartedly with a slight grin as he points to the thought bubble] that?

(Lightning flashes in that thought bubble storm again.)

Teleporting. [She shakes her head.] It's annoying, but it's not really dangerous if you remember to wear clothes and shoes at all times.

That sounds annoying alright. It does explain why you're awake so early.
