[Action: Days 5-7]

[It's odd for Aang, waking up in House 56. What is this, some sort of bunked bed? He can't remember whatever led him to sleep there. Doesn't this violate his decision to maintain some distance from his younger friends? He slips out of the house early in the morning, or tries to. It's possible that anyone else in the household could have caught him before he was able to leave.

Aang spends the rest of the day and the next two days going back to his daily routine. He meditates in the forest near Avatar House. He goes through town, either casually strolling or zipping through on his Air Scooter, to stay social. On Day 5, he also has to set up his tent near his meditation spot again. Where could his old tent have gone?]

[ooc: Aang is aged up (kinda)-canonically to around his 40s. He also remembers Luceti in an alternate way where he was brought here at this age. The shift has also caused some memory fluctuations (who's that Yakone fellow again?), although the possibility always remains that he's actually from a somewhat alternate version of canon (aka my handwave if my few assumptions get jossed)

[Katara? Counting down the days until this experiment ends? What gave you that idea.

She's just walking back from where she was teleported onto the top of the roof of a nearby Community Building. It's far too early for her to be up right now, she just wants an hour or two of uninterrupted sleep. Stupid freaking teleportation.]

[Aang is making his way across the lawn when he spots her on her return trip. He has to remind himself that it's Katara, not Kya. It's odd to see her out and about so early, so he approaches to check up on her.]

Hello, Katara. Are you okay?

[Katara barely looks at him, she's so tired, she just only halfway notices the height and the arrows and the voice - she's just tuned into the feeling of Aang, that sense she gets when he's around.]

Sure, I'm fine, Aang.

[Red was himself on a small hike through the woods surrounding CH 5 that afternoon, getting used to the quirks of this female body and gathering information on this current Shift. He would take notes later--copious ones, for Lupin's use. He was content for the moment, however, to just enjoy the weather.

The tent and the man meditating not too far away from it catch his attention, however, and he pauses.]

...that's new.

[It's muttered, mostly to himself. Was this something to go in his notes?]

[He managed to hear that and opened his eyes. Ah, a stranger. He greets her with a bright smile.]

Hello, friend. Would you care to join me?

[Red starts at the sudden invitation, mostly because of how similar the pattern was to his Luke. He smiles at the stranger, chagrinned.]

I was just passing through, honestly. Meditation and I...never really got along.

Day 6

[Aang won't be the only one disappearing from House 56 for the next few days as well. Although it'll be a day later after Aang had left for Roku to wander off. The strange tales his young friends had told him weren't exactly the same ones he personally recalled, so it's left him with something to think about for a while.

He'll wander across Aang meditating while he was making his return from the lake that was further down south of them. He was still much older than Roku remembered him, but he was sure it was Aang]

I hope you don't mind having an old friend join you.

[That voice. It's Roku. Old Man Roku. Not the squeaky teen version. He opens his eyes and stands to greet him with a bow.]

Why, I'd be honored.

[Roku simply smiles and nods, joining him.]

So, this is where you've been. The others have informed me were still here, only now a grown man.

Day 7

[A normal day for Raine, she's been spending the day taking care of errands and occasionally taking time to relax as well. On his scoot by, she would be leaving the item shop carrying a few things with her. ... Yep, definite sign that this thing isn't over yet.]

... Aang?

[Ah, it's Professor Sage, his friends' teacher. He remembers conversing pleasantly with her at the cultural fair.]

[No one wakes as early as Sokka does. So when Aang is trying to slip out, Sokka is just coming back. And hello, old guy?]

... uh. What are you doing here?

[... wait, bald? Arrow on his head? Tacky orange and yellow?]

[He's flustered for a moment, but he quickly puts on a warm smile and waves. It's just adorable that Sokka's trying out the beard here.]

Good morning, Sokka. I was just wondering that, myself.

[Okay, so Sokka is pretty sure he's never met another airbender before, so this isn't anyone new. Which means...]

Aang? Is that you?

[Moro has been stuck with a teleportation curse. She falls rather ungraciously nearby his meditation area, growling and snarling in discontentment.]

[Aang looks up with a smile. He recalls conversing with the wolf god over the journals even in his alternate memories. So they finally meet... Aang steps up and waves at her, despite her obvious discontent.]

[Someone is in the forest watching him.

...You know. With her feet.

She still can't get over the fact that he's here. That he's alive, and old, and...

She moves back slightly, snapping a twig. Whoops. Just gave away her position there. Maybe he won't notice. She doesn't know if she wants him to notice.]

[Toph didn't raise a chump. He can hear that snapping twig and tell someone is near. He opens one eye from his meditation.]

[ not knowing what an air scooter is, buffy simply...stares. and stares and stares. and actually manages to walk right off the village path and into a bench, where she promptly stubs her toe and... ]

[Aang had spotted Buffy as he zipped by and turned to wave at her - noticing said stubbage in the process. He hops off of the scooter and approaches.]

Hey Buffy! Are you okay there?

[Right, so. Katara had finally gotten some sleep, and was in one place long enough to be able to seek Aang out. It would be sensible to journal him first, but... instead, she just looks around, trusting she'll run in to him eventually - especially since she's not sure what exactly she wants to say to him.]

[It's as simple as following some of Appa's shed hair near Avatar House. In a small grove of the forest near House 56, Aang is at a small campsite had had set up. There's even a campfire that has been recently put out with a pot of freshly cooked noodles. Aang's already eating some while tossing some cabbage to Appa. Appa's been really confused this week, but he's just going along with it. He takes a moment to stroke the bison's snout.]
