Great! Let's do this. It's a real shame, though tea hunting's a lot easier when you have an extra pair of- [Stops himself right there.] ...Let's go.

[He sets himself up along the ledge and prepares to bend. But there's trees all along the mountainside waiting to spill rumors (possibly any of these?).]

[She grumbles at his almost-slip up, but moves to bend as well. Of course, just after she starts is when she hears this little doozy.

"That Ion certainly plays around a lot. Why, just last week I saw him and Toph alone in the forest together... who knows what they were up to!"

And she completely drops her form, her side of the earth elevator crumbling in surprise.]

[Aang instinctively tries to maintain it enough so that neither of them fall, but a grin remains on his face.]

Ion? Is he a friend of yours? [If the name's come up in conversation before, Aang can't quite recall it at the moment.] Does he like tea?

[Tea. TEA. The trees say something like that and he's still focused on tea?!

...Wait, maybe that's a good thing. Maybe she can just brush it off like it was nothing.]

I dunno, you'd have to ask him.

[And then... so speaketh another tree:

"Yeah? Well her first kiss wasn't all Katara lost in those love experiments, if you know what I mean...".]

[Aang shows no change on his mood, with a glazed grin on his face. He takes just a brief moment to scratch beneath the brim of the hat.]

You didn't hear the news that tree had about Katara? [Aang raises an eyebrow. He thought you were a more attentive friend, Toph.] It was saying that Katara lost a purse she loved during an experiment.

Is that what it said? Huh, I musta...heard it wrong. Er...yeah, I bet she found it.

[And so Aang starts putting force into making the rockevator go at a... probably not safe speed.]

[She yields up the earth to slow the elevator. Sheesh, Twinkletoes.]
