Yeah, I do. I mean... someday. A long time from now, obviously, but - yeah.

[ because it's still a sort of terrifying thought, but it's a slightly terrifying thought that katara has had a lot of time to think about. mostly, it means that warmth in his voice gets a soft and sincere smile out of her, because - well. even if it wouldn't be for a long (long, long) time, it meant that hope really was there. better yet, hope and real possibility. ]

It's neat to think about, right?

Of course it is. This is really big! [He smiles warmly, radiating emotion. For some reason, he really likes sharing this with Katara more than anything. He might even be on the verge of getting a little choked up.]

I'm gonna have my own family, Katara. With... with more airbenders! Even if it's when I'm really old and crusty, I know I'm gonna be happy.

[ katara ducks her head, suddenly a little embarrassed - and maybe in danger of shedding a few tears herself, too. ]

It's gonna be great, Aang. I really can't wait to see it.

I'm... I'm glad. I know that whatever they're like, they're gonna love you, Katara. I'll make sure they spend a lot of time having fun with you! It'll be great. [He's hung up on the general idea of family and having children that he hasn't even thought about one certain component: a mother.]

We could even all go penguin-sledding together! Won't that be fun?

Yeah! Penguin-sledding. That sounds great, Aang.

[ ha ha that's one aspect katara hadn't forgotten when she'd been drilling korra about the future, but. right. there's a place and a time, and she is almost positive that it's not now. ]

So.... can you believe Sokka's a captain? I'm proud of him.

[He's almost lost in the day-dreaming, but hearing about Sokka brings him back to the present. It's not the same as new airbenders, but he gives a bright smile about Sokka nonetheless.]

Yeah, me too! He always seemed very... leader-y. So I guess it makes sense! He must have a lot of neat adventures.
