Aang:

Most unfortunately as I predicted, circumstances have taken a decided turn for the worst. Perhaps even as we spoke, Steve Rogers was attacked by one of the infected. I offered him what mercy I could whilst he was held by the Jedi, which he refused. That perhaps would have been the end of the matter, but yesterday an absolute limitation was placed upon our powers, during which time the thing he had become escaped and was put down only after infecting Lady Potts.

I have heard that Masaomi has taken part in the defense of the hospital. Likewise I have heard Shikamaru still fights. Mia continues to work with the healers at the hospital. The others, I am afraid I do not know and have not been able to discover due to reasons I shall describe momentarily. One might hope they have been able to take part in the evacuation and that is why there has been no word.

Unfortunately due to the limitations placed upon me, my utility as a warrior is all but nonexistent. I have lent my aid to those searching for a cure for this disease instead, as the sciences have always come quite easily to me. There are many potential avenues, but it would be falsely hopeful of me to say the situation is anything but grim.

Give Ikki my love. You may wish to prepare her for the worst. While I have faith in my ingenuity and that of those with whom I work, time seems to have become the limiting factor.
