[The 14-year old monk looks into the video feed with a friendly smile during a break in the rainfall. He's standing on the lawn of House 57, and Appa is chewing down on some hay in the background.]

Hey, everyone! It's me, Aang. It's been a while since I really tried talking to everyone through the book, so I thought I'd give it another try. After all, I really like to make more friends, and it seems like something I should do more anyway now that I work at the Welcome Center! And... in case you only know me from during shifts or something, you should know that I'm not a crimefighter, a little kid or an old man, and right now I'm kinda sick of tea. I'm something that's called an Airbender and the Avatar.

I also want to introduce you to this guy, Appa. He's my sky bison. Say hello, Appa! [Aang moves to the side briefly while Appa gives a lazy bellow.] Isn't he great? So... this is what I have in mind. I wanna take Appa out more and do what I can to explore this place when I have time. And if any of you want, whether I already know you or not, you're free to join me and help me find places to explore. I think I'll do these kinds of adventures throughout the whole week, especially if the weather clears up, so if you wanna come, let me know when!

[There's some chittering noises as a lemur pops out of Aang's sleeve.] You can come too, Momo!

[So throughout the week, Aang rides Appa around the enclosure in search of secrets, adventures and such. Before he sets off, Aang stops by the fountain in the plaza with Appa to wait for any traveling companion. He also could be found running random errands at the Welcome Center.

Also, Appa may be familiar to some because of his fur. Appa arrived back in May, and especially in the time following that, he would have been shedding some fur with the coming of summer. So characters are free to have recognize that fur having been dropped throughout Luceti during his flights.]

[An adventure with Grandpa Aang? There's no way Jinora's going to miss out on this. So on one of his stops, she'll be racing out to meet him.]

Granpa Aang!

[Aang had been splashing some water from the fountain in his face to refresh himself when he heard the voice. His face brightening, he turned and opened his arms in preparation for a hug.]

Jinora!

[She'll certainly hug him. The pull back just enough to grin up at him.]

Can I go exploring with you and Appa?

[He looks down with his own grin.]

You don't even have to ask. Me and Appa will gladly take you along! Do you have anywhere specific in mind?

[She looks thoughtful for a moment, and then shakes her head.]

No, anywhere is fine.

Then maybe Appa can pick a route! What do you think, buddy, you ready to take off soon?

[Appa looks over from the fountain, where he was slurping up some water and looks over Jinora with a faint fondness in his eyes. Having more Airbenders around lifted his heart as well. He stomped over to attention.]

[Oh Jinora's happy to see Appa too. Even with the different markings he reminds her of her family's bison. But him being grandpa's is even better.

She'll happily go over to give him attention.]

[Appa looks down at Jinora and greets her with a great lick. Aang laughs as he watches.]

He's happy to see you, too!

[She erks a little at the lick, and the slobber. Though she's used to it, it's still a mess. She giggles though, wipes the slobber off, most of it anyway.]

So where will we go, Appa?

[Good thing Grandpa's a Waterbender, since he removes the residual slobber himself and tosses it to the side. Appa gives a yawn.]

I'm not sure what that means, but we'll find out when we're in the air.

[And he hops up onto Appa's head.]</small<

[She's thankful for the cleaning and drying off.]

You're not?

[Can't you read his noises, grandpa? Either way she's climbing her way up to the saddle, taking a seat.]

[He looks back at her with a shrug.]

I can only understand most of what he says. He's not too good at detailing where he wants to go, either. The best way's just to let him show us himself.

[He picks up the reins and briefly looks back to make sure Jinora's seated.]

Yip yip! [And Appa is taking off.]

Oh, alright.

[She makes a mental note of that. She takes a seat, making sure she's in a position to see Aang, and where they're going. There's a grin on her face, this is always so thrilling.]

[Appa lifts off into the sky, and Aang keeps hold of the reins until he can get steady in the sky. Flying never gets old, and there's something about going through it with another Airbender that makes it feel more nostalgic and accomplishing.]

How are you doing back there, Jinora?

[Jinora's not sitting for too long. She'll shift up so she's kneeling once they're airborne. Mainly so she can look down and around. She's not leaning over too far though. Safety in the saddle has been drilled into her head.

She looks toward Aang at his voice]

I'm good!

Great!

[And once Appa's reached a steady altitude, Aang will be leaping back to sit near Jinora in the saddle.]

Now we can just sit back and relax while Appa takes us wherever he pleases!
