[He takes a moment to think.] Okay, this might be a little complicated, but maybe it could be fun.

[And so he begins doing some earthbending. But not on the ground in front of them. He focuses on, one by one, raising up thin, jagged pillars of rock past the surface of the lake. There's ultimately about eight of them positioned together. He takes a breather before freezing a patch of water past the pillars.]

So... the ice is the goal. You gotta throw the rock so it bounces off of those rocky pillar things to get into the goal.
