Good question. I guess the practice kinda started as a mix of people hiding their secret identities with most of them having a bit of a flair for drama. Eventually, it's just kinda accepted as normal. My home... has a lot of crummy things. But there's also a whole lot of weirdness too, that we just have to shrug and accept as normal.
